STRENGTHENING CONNECTIONS
Every year GVS hosts a variety of gatherings for all our students and their families. These events are great opportunities to connect with GVS Staff and create long-lasting memories with your children. Some of our events include, but are not limited to:
BARN DANCES
Come join us in the barn in September for a family fun event. Dudley Laufman, a renowned fiddler and caller, shows us all a great time at a traditional New England Contra-dance. Bring a potluck dish to share. This is a not-to-miss event!
INTERNATIONAL DAY
In late October, the classes host an International Day celebration. The oldest students are ambassadors from their chosen country (complete with a booth set up with items from their country–food, costumes, art, maps, etc.). Parents and friends come into the classrooms to share their heritage or travels with the students. International games and treats are shared, and a good time is had by all.
FAMILY NIGHTS
Students demonstrate their work for family and friends. This is a great occasion for parents to see the hard work that he children perform on a daily basis. Parents are impressed with the understanding the children possess of very difficult concepts through the use of the Montessori methods.
ARTS NIGHT
The students perform for their friends and family. Their artwork is on display, and music and drama productions are performed for all to enjoy.
